Every fan's dream is to watch a battle for the win come down to the very last lap, and that is something that happens commonly at Peterborough Speedway.

Just look at last year in the summer with The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods and the thrilling victory it was for Steve Book as he edged out Dan Archibald at the line for the checkered flag.

It is why we are not surprised to hear that driver and fans alike are excited to return to Canada's toughest 1/3-mile oval for the 2026 campaign.

The first OSCAAR date on the calendar at Peterborough Speedway will see the JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It make the trip to the 1/3-mile oval on their own. Don't let that stop you from attending, as the Mid-Summer Bash promises to still be full of excitement for all those in attendance. Besides, where can you go wrong with the fastest cars on the toughest track in the province?

The Mid-Summer Bash will also feature Mini Stocks, Renegrade Trucks, Late Models, Jr Late Models, and Kids Barrel Races. The kids event will see kids climb in a fuel barrel on wheels that is then pushed from one end of the straightaway to the other racing against fellow children.

Date #2 - Saturday, July 25, 2026

The annual summer date returns for the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds and OSCAAR Hot Rods that fans have grown used to.

This date has always been of interest for not only the fast-paced action as mentioned in the opener, but it's the halfway mark of the season and this is where the championship starts to become a bigger discussion point. Just ask Steve Trendell, who scored his first modified career victory last summer before clinching the title at year-end.

The night will also feature the Bone Stocks, Renegrade Trucks, Late Models, and King of the Hill. KOTH allows spectators to take their own cars on the track, and race against each other in pairs through heads-up elimination-style races.

Date #3 - Friday, October 8, 2026, through Sunday, October 10, 2026

There is only one way to close out a season of racing in Ontario, and that is with the Autumn Colours Classic Weekend at Peterborough Speedway.

Both the OSCAAR Modifieds and OSCAAR Hot Rods will be in attendance for the weekend with a full slate of racing. There is a lot of bragging rights on the line as every driver wants to write their name in the history books as someone who won a crown jewel in the province. Oh, and did we mention this is also where we will crown our 2026 series champions?

The schedule tentatively will see both sets of heats will be run on Saturday, with the features on Sunday. But don't let that stop you from going all weekend as the camping is the best part of the weekend according to some with the stories that are told and memories made.

Let's not forget there will also be lots of other divisions in action. Late Models, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Bone Stocks, Outlaw Midgets, Jr Late Models, Legends, and Bandoleros will also have space on the card with those drivers searching for the bragging rights. It becomes one of the best weekends to watch as competitors come from across the province in search of one thing - victory.
