When fans are choosing to come out and spend a night at the races, they are looking to go somewhere that will deliver a lot of action.

There is no shortage of that when you go to Full Throttle Motor Speedway as it is the pure definition of a place for thrills. Combining a very short track at a quarter-mile in length with high-banked quarters means you cannot get away from your competition, which in turn delivers side-by-side racing throughout the whole night.

"We are really looking forward to it," FTMS Race Director Tim Tolton said. "We really love when OSCAAR comes for a visit. We wish we could see them more. We have one event with the Hot Rods, and the Modifieds, and the second with just the Hot Rods.

Track Size - Quarter-mile high-banked asphalt oval

Address - 312853 Hwy 6, Durham, ON, N0G 1R0

Date #1 - Saturday, July 18, 2026

It is slowly becoming a staple event in the early summer months for OSCAAR, as fans have gotten used to over recent seasons with some spectacular racing. The date will include both the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds and The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive to continue with the tradition.

Last year as fans will recall, it was a battle through not only the feature for the Hot Rods, but the qualifying heats with close-quarter racing resulting in some contact along the way. It goes to show you anything is possible when you put the Hot Rod competitors in close quarters.

The track will have a trio of their divisions also on the card for the night, with the Junior Late Models, Mini Trucks, and Thunder Trucks. The Jr Late Models is a great chance to see who may be a future OSCAAR competitor as children ages four through 16 battle for checkered flags against each other.

"It's awesome to have them on the card at the same time," Tolton expressed. "The Jr Late Models are obviously are young drivers that are just getting into the sport and they get to look up to the OSCAAR drivers who have been doing it a long time, and they have something to look forward to as they advance in racing."

Date #2 - Saturday, August 22, 2026

For the first time ever on the OSCAAR Hot Rod schedule, they will be visiting FTMS twice in a season as they will return back to the quarter-mile in late August. This event could see guys pushing extra hard in knowing there is a small break in the schedule that follows, and having bragging rights with a checkered flag in hand never hurts.

It is a big night for FTMS as it is the Dave Gray Memorial for their Street Stock division. They will also have kids power wheel drag racing at Intermission, their Mini Stock division, and their new class, the Crazy Vans, on-deck for the night.

"The Crazy Vans are brand new to us," Tolton shared. "We aren't even a 100% sure what to expect yet. We have a lot of interest in it. Hopefully we have a great turnout. They will be running not just speed races, but it's going to be special events that will require skill, maybe a lot of luck - there will be no straight-up racing. The driver gets the steering wheel and the brake pedal, and the passenger has the gas pedal. They better be able to work well together."
