Peterborough, Ontario — June 11, 2026

OSCAAR Racing is pleased to announce a new partnership with Shepherd Media through the introduction of the Shepherd Media Fastest Qualifier Award for the 2026 Super Late Model season.

Shepherd Media will award $100 to the Fastest Qualifier at every regular OSCAAR Super Late Model event throughout the season, starting this weekend at Sauble Speedway. In addition, the award will be increased to $200 for the Fastest Qualifier at the prestigious Gold Rush 126, scheduled for June 30 at Flamboro Speedway-Authorized Page

Shepherd Media owner Suzi Shepherd understands the commitment required to compete at this level in motorsports. From the financial investment to the countless hours spent preparing and traveling to events, she recognizes the dedication shown by teams throughout the series.

“As someone who comes from a racing family, I know firsthand the sacrifices teams make to compete each week,” said Shepherd. “Through Shepherd Media, I wanted to find a way to give back and support the drivers and teams that make the OSCAAR Super Late Model Series so competitive and exciting.” "It is also a special way to honour my Dad Pete Sr., who we lost in December 2023."

The Fastest Qualifier Contingency Award adds another incentive for teams to put their best foot forward during time trials while rewarding the hard work that goes into achieving top speed and performance.

OSCAAR Racing would like to thank Shepherd Media for its continued support of grassroots racing and its commitment to enhancing the experience for competitors throughout the Super Late Model division.
