MILLGROVE, Ontario --- When you think of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds, there are a couple last names that comes to your mind immediately. One of those - McLean - given the family's legacy of having multiple family winners visit victory lane on more than one occasion.
It is why the division is proud to honour one of their family members this weekend on Saturday, May 23 at Flamboro Speedway with the inaugural Brian McLean Memorial.
There will be several drivers in the field hoping to be the first to win the event.
Rick Burbridge may be a modified rookie, but he comes into the event with experience at Flamboro Speedway on his side, after having visited victory lane there behind the wheel of a late model.
Adam Evison is another rookie in the field, who will hope to translate his past V8 stock experience from Delaware Speedway into success with the modifieds this weekend at Flamboro.
Matt Haufe found success at Sunset Speedway last year in his rookie campaign with the open-wheel cars. The very successful Legend racer will hope to take that success with him on the road.
Third generation racer Eric McLean will make his modified debut this weekend, hoping to build upon the success he found in Bone Stock competition at Full Throttle Motor Speedway.
Daryl Henwood will also be joining the field, running a second entry for Trendell Racing. He comes in with open-wheel experience, having been a long-time racer with the Canadian Vintage Modifieds.
Dave Mathers is set to rejoin the tour in hopes of chasing more top-10 finishes. So far, he has placed inside the top-10 in 12 of his previous 24 series appearances.
Amanda Balson knows what it takes to be successful with OSCAAR, as evident by her previous success with The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive. She has also shown speed with the modifieds, as evident by reaching victory lane last year at Sunset Speedway.
Jason Keen enters the weekend as the driver to beat, as he swept both events at Flamboro Speedway last year. He also leads all drivers all-time in total victories at the 1/3-mile oval, with four to his credit over the years. The driver of the No. 18 scored six top-five finishes in seven races with the tour in 2025.
Bryan Batty returns back full-time with the OSCAAR tour in 2026, as he hopes to find the same success which led him to 18 top-10 finishes in 30 previous appearances. He ran two events last year with the modifieds, including a third-place finish at Delaware Speedway.
2025 series champion Steve Trendell came close to winning last year at Flamboro, dominating until he lost the lead on a late-race restart. He will hope to find his way to Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales victory lane for the second time in his first career, after scoring no finishes outside of the top-five en route to his title last year.
Brent McLean is no stranger to OSCAAR victory lane, as evident by having won five times throughout his career. In total, he has scored 43 top-10's in 56 series appearances, including four of those just last season.
Dale Reinhart has found victory lane at Flamboro Speedway, something he will hope to repeat this weekend after scoring a fifth and a runner-up in the pair of events last season. He had a solid 2025 campaign, placing second in the series standings with no finishes outside the top-five.
Wally Wilson began to find his footing last year, as evident by scoring four top-five's and eight top-10's throughout the season. Those results, by the way, included a pair of sixths at Flamboro.
Max Beyore ended the 2025 campaign on a high with a trip to victory lane at Peterborough Speedway. He will hope to carry the momentum into this year, after having scored 17 top-10's in 23 previous series appearances.
Don't miss the action at Flamboro Speedway this weekend as it will include the Bill Zardo Memorial for the OSCAAR Hot Rods, the Don Biederman Memorial for the OSCAAR Super Late Models, and the Brian McLean Memorial for the Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds.
