PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Running up front all weekend long proved to be the magic for Max Beyore in winning the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified portion of the 32nd Annual Autumn Colours Classic presented by B&G Towing and Recovery at Peterborough Speedway.
Beyore started up front after a strong qualifying effort including a heat victory, and used the track position to his advantage. He would run inside the top-three throughout the full race, pressuring for the lead through the middle portion of the event. Ultimately, when the checkered flag waved and post-race technical inspection was completed, he was credited with the victory for the event.
TJ Edwards won both of his qualifying heats, and rebounded from contact on the opening lap that ripped the left rear off the car for a runner-up ahead of Jason Keen, who caught a piece of action on Lap 1. Luke Gignac and Brent McLean completed the top-five.
Wally Wilson saw his feature end on Lap 21 as a result of a blown motor, while Andrew Massey pulled off with issues on Lap 4.
Chris Milwain and Ryan Dick both failed to complete a lap after being involved in an incident on Lap 1 in turns three and four.
Amanda Balson was credited with a 9th-place finish.
Heat wins went to Edwards (x2), Beyore, and Wilson.
