Dale Reinhart Goes Back-To-Back OSCAAR Modified Competition

LONDON, Ontario — When things are going your way, they say to keep riding that wave of momentum – and that is what Dale Reinhart is doing. On Saturday June 27 at Delaware Speedway, the driver of the No. 51 scored his second straight Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Lloyd’s Paving (Wyoming) Limited feature victory.

After winning one of the two qualifiers, Reinhart drew fourth on the starting grid and wasted no time in making his way forward. He took the lead on Lap 3 and then held off the field in a mid-race restart, stretching out his advantage over the field en route to parking it in Scott Reinhart Trailer Sales Ltd victory lane. It marked his second straight series victory after winning the season opener at Sauble Speedway earlier this month.

Delaware Speedway regular Steve McCaw made a late-race charge, including a pass in the closing laps, to score a runner-up finish. Rick Burbridge’s impressive rookie campaign continued with his second straight podium in a third-place result after starting on the front row. Jason Keen rebounded from motor issues at Sauble for fourth, with last year’s series champion Steve Trendell completing the top-five.

Daryl Henwood picked up a sixth-place finish in his second career series start ahead of Matt Haufe, Eric McLean, Adam Evison, and Dylan Penney.

Dave Mathers was 11th in his first appearance of the season, followed by Bryan Batty, who suffered a mechanical failure on Lap 10 after pacing laps in qualifying. Ryan Dick was plagued with overheating issues after winning the second qualifier en route to 13th, with Wally Wilson rounding out the field after battling motor issues throughout the day.

The Overkill Enterprise OSCAAR Modifieds are back in-action at Full Throttle Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 18 alongside The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods presented by Bromley Automotive Ltd.
