5 Drivers to Watch This OSCAAR Race Season

It is no secret the competition across all of OSCAAR divisions has been top-notch each season, and the 2026 promises to be no different. With a mix of veterans and young blood battling on-track each week together, fans can expect to see a lot of close racing with a good, healthy battle for the championship.

As we think about the year ahead, here are five drivers for you to keep an eye on.

No. 00 Trevor Thompson

Trevor Thompson has been a standout competitor with The Fyre Place & Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rods over the past several seasons, having captured checkered flags in events at Flamboro Speedway and Jukasa Motor Speedway. The driver of the No. 00 Thompson's Auto Tech, Elmira Harvey's & Swiss Chalet Camaro has made 29 series appearances over the years, with 17 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes.

No. 2 Rick Burbridge

The depth of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modified field will expand in 2026, with Rick Burbridge throwing his hat into the ring. Behind the wheel of the No. 2 Scotts Auto Body Repair, Fleming Automotive Modified, he will hope his previous racing experience translates into success. Burbridge is no stranger to the Ontario racing scene, having battled on the APC Auto Parts United Late Model Series Tour over the years, as well as weekly at Flamboro Speedway with trips to victory lane.

No. 16 Amanda Balson

It may have taken Amanda Balson a bit to find her groove with the modifieds last season, but that just means she should be fast from the initial drop of the green flag this coming season. She proved she could get it done last year, parking her No. 16 Cochrane Automotive, London Recreational Racing, Classic Towing, Luxe Beauty Boutique, Miracle Liquid Spray in victory lane in September during Sunset Speedway's weekly competition.

No. 47w Tom Walters

A multi-time champion in Late Model competition, Tom Walters should be someone that is on everyone's radar each week he is at the track. The driver of the No. 47w D&H Towing, Cathcart Trucking entry has ran inside the top-five on numerous occasions with the Hot Rod tour, scoring a pair of wins and 14 top-five finishes in 19 appearances.

No. 91 Max Beyore

A veteran on the tour, fans have watched Max Beyore battled amongst the best in the modifieds a lot over the last several years. The driver of the 91 has scored four wins, 14 top-five's and 17 top-10 finishes in his 23 series appearances, including a victory with the tour last year at Peterborough Speedway.
